Why House of Sadah
Sadah is inspired by my mother’s name, Saada (pronounced sah-dah)— the heart behind this brand.
When she left Ethiopian and came to America in her early twenties, she gave up so much to build a life for us. She worked tirelessly, carried responsibilities far beyond herself, and pushed forward with a strength I’m still in awe of.
But what I remember most is her home.
Our door was always open. Family came and went, sometimes staying longer than planned, and she welcomed everyone with warmth and generosity. Her house became a place of comfort, belonging, and connection — a home built not just by walls, but by care.
House of Sadah carries that same spirit. It’s a reflection of the sacrifices she made, the love she poured into others, and the belief that home is something you create for people. Just as shai is shared to bring us together, this brand is rooted in warmth, hospitality, and open doors.
